Music from Baldwin’s Wake – Medieval Melodies from a specially commissioned band
Dance by Cock and Magpie and Chesterfield Garland Dancers – Traditional Dancing from Chesterfield’s finest
11.30 Re-enactment of the Battle of Chesterfield by the Swords of Mercia. Children are invited to take sides and participate in this family-friendly re-enactment of Chesterfield’s only medieval battle
12.00 Music and Dance
13.00 arrival of Mayor and tour of New Square
13.30 Trial by Combat from the Swords of Mercia – The Earl of Derby will challenge the king’s nephew, Henry of Almain, in a trial of strength and bravery to determine his guilt or innocence!
14.00 Competition Winners Announced
          Guild of Bellringers will ring a Quarter peal of Chesterfield Old Bob Major at the Crooked Spire
